Hosea 9:16-17
Good News Translation

16 The people of Israel are like a plant whose roots have dried up and which bears no fruit. They will have no children, but even if they did, I would kill the children so dear to them.”

16 Ephraim(A) is blighted,
    their root is withered,
    they yield no fruit.(B)
Even if they bear children,
    I will slay(C) their cherished offspring.”

17 My God will reject(D) them
    because they have not obeyed(E) him;
    they will be wanderers among the nations.(F)
