5 (A)What will you do on the day of the appointed festival
And on the day of the (B)feast of the Lord?
6 For behold, they will go because of destruction;
Egypt will gather them up, (C)Memphis will bury them.
Weeds will take over their treasures of silver;
(D)Thorns will be in their tents.
7 The days of (E)punishment have come,
The days of (F)retribution have come;
[a]Let Israel know this!
The prophet is a (G)fool,
The [b]inspired man is (H)demented,
Because of the grossness of your (I)iniquity,
And because your hostility is so great.

5 What will you do(A) on the day of your appointed festivals,(B)
on the feast days of the Lord?
6 Even if they escape from destruction,
Egypt will gather them,(C)
and Memphis(D) will bury them.(E)
Their treasures of silver(F) will be taken over by briers,
and thorns(G) will overrun their tents.
7 The days of punishment(H) are coming,
the days of reckoning(I) are at hand.
Let Israel know this.
Because your sins(J) are so many
and your hostility so great,
the prophet is considered a fool,(K)
the inspired person a maniac.(L)
