^40 (A)For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

²¹ But we were hoping ^(A)that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened.

⁴⁶ Then He said to them, ^(A)“Thus it is written, ^[a]and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,

¹⁹ Jesus answered and said to them, ^(A)“Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”

³ For ^(A)I delivered to you first of all that ^(B)which I also received: that Christ died for our sins ^(C)according to the Scriptures,
