Lord, be gracious to us; for you we wait.
    Be our strength every morning,
    our salvation in time of trouble!(A)
At the roaring sound, peoples flee;
    when you rise in your majesty, nations are scattered.(B)
Spoil is gathered up as caterpillars gather,
    an onrush like the rush of locusts.(C)
The Lord is exalted, enthroned on high;
    he fills Zion with right and justice.(D)
That which makes her seasons certain,
    her wealth, salvation, wisdom, and knowledge,
    is the fear of the Lord, her treasure.(E)

At the uproar of your army,(E) the peoples flee;(F)
    when you rise up,(G) the nations scatter.
Your plunder,(H) O nations, is harvested(I) as by young locusts;(J)
    like a swarm of locusts people pounce on it.

The Lord is exalted,(K) for he dwells on high;(L)
    he will fill Zion with his justice(M) and righteousness.(N)
He will be the sure foundation for your times,
    a rich store of salvation(O) and wisdom and knowledge;
    the fear(P) of the Lord is the key to this treasure.[a](Q)
