Isaiah 7:5-7

5 because Aram, with Ephraim and the son of Remaliah, has planned[a] evil against you. They say, 6 “Let us go up against Judah, tear it apart, make it our own by force, and appoint the son of Tabeel[b] king there.”
7 Thus says the Lord God:
It shall not stand, it shall not be!(A)

- 7:6 Son of Tabeel: a puppet of Jerusalem’s enemies. His appointment would interrupt the lawful succession from David.

5 Aram, Ephraim and Remaliah’s(A) son have plotted(B) your ruin, saying, 6 “Let us invade Judah; let us tear it apart and divide it among ourselves, and make the son of Tabeel king over it.” 7 Yet this is what the Sovereign Lord says:(C)
