²⁴ Therefore thus says Lord Yahweh of hosts, “O My people who inhabit ^(A)Zion, ^(B)do not fear the Assyrian ^[a]who ^(C)strikes you with the rod and lifts up his staff against you, the way Egypt did.

⁶ And you are going to hear of ^(A)wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end.
