To the Church in Sardis

3 “And to the angel of the church in ^(A)Sardis write:

This is what He who has ^(B)the seven Spirits of God and ^(C)the seven stars, says: ‘^(D)I know your deeds, that you have a name that you are alive, ^[a]but you are ^(E)dead.

⁵ And out from the throne come ^(A)flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder. And there were ^(B)seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are ^(C)the seven Spirits of God.

⁶ Then I saw in the midst of the throne and the four living creatures and in the midst of ^(A)the elders a ^(B)Lamb standing, as if ^(C)slain, having seven ^(D)horns and ^(E)seven eyes, which are ^(F)the seven Spirits of God, sent out into all the earth.

² Then I saw ^(A)the seven angels who stand before God, and seven ^(B)trumpets were given to them.
