32 And what shall be answered to the messengers of the nations? That the Lord hath founded Sion, and the poor of his people shall hope in him.

31 Wail,(A) you gate!(B) Howl, you city!
Melt away, all you Philistines!(C)
A cloud of smoke comes from the north,(D)
and there is not a straggler in its ranks.(E)
32 What answer shall be given
to the envoys(F) of that nation?
“The Lord has established Zion,(G)
and in her his afflicted people will find refuge.(H)”
