¹⁹ People will flee to caves^(A) in the rocks
    and to holes in the ground^(B)
from the fearful presence^(C) of the Lord
    and the splendor of his majesty,^(D)
    when he rises to shake the earth.^(E)

¹³ Therefore I will make the heavens tremble;^(A)
    and the earth will shake^(B) from its place
at the wrath^(C) of the Lord Almighty,
    in the day of his burning anger.^(D)

¹⁹ The earth is broken up,^(A)
    the earth is split asunder,^(B)
    the earth is violently shaken.
²⁰ The earth reels like a drunkard,^(C)
    it sways like a hut^(D) in the wind;
so heavy upon it is the guilt of its rebellion^(E)
    that it falls^(F)—never to rise again.^(G)

³² Every stroke the Lord lays on them
    with his punishing club^(A)
will be to the music of timbrels^(B) and harps,
    as he fights them in battle with the blows of his arm.^(C)

⁹ The land dries up^(A) and wastes away,
    Lebanon^(B) is ashamed and withers;^(C)
Sharon^(D) is like the Arabah,
    and Bashan^(E) and Carmel^(F) drop their leaves.
