5 Now, descendants of Jacob, let us walk in the light which the Lord gives us!
Arrogance Will Be Destroyed
6 O God, you have forsaken your people, the descendants of Jacob! The land is full of magic practices from the East and from Philistia.[a] The people follow foreign customs. 7 Their land is full of silver and gold, and there is no end to their treasures. Their land is full of horses, and there is no end to their chariots.

6 You, Lord, have abandoned(C) your people,
the descendants of Jacob.(D)
They are full of superstitions from the East;
they practice divination(E) like the Philistines(F)
and embrace(G) pagan customs.(H)
7 Their land is full of silver and gold;(I)
there is no end to their treasures.(J)
Their land is full of horses;(K)
there is no end to their chariots.(L)
