Isaiah 21:3-5
World English Bible

3 Therefore my thighs are filled with anguish. Pains have seized me, like the pains of a woman in labor. I am in so much pain that I can’t hear. I am so dismayed that I can’t see. 4 My heart flutters. Horror has frightened me. The twilight that I desired has been turned into trembling for me. 5 They prepare the table. They set the watch. They eat. They drink. Rise up, you princes, oil the shield!

3 At this my body is racked with pain,(A)
    pangs seize me, like those of a woman in labor;(B)
I am staggered by what I hear,
    I am bewildered(C) by what I see.
4 My heart(D) falters,
    fear makes me tremble;(E)
the twilight I longed for
    has become a horror(F) to me.

5 They set the tables,
    they spread the rugs,
    they eat, they drink!(G)
Get up, you officers,
    oil the shields!(H)
