Isaiah 21:9-11
New American Standard Bible
9 Now behold, here comes a troop of riders, horsemen in pairs.”
And one said, “(A)Fallen, fallen is Babylon;
And all the (B)images of her gods [a]are shattered on the ground.”
10 My (C)downtrodden people, and my [b]afflicted of the threshing floor!
What I have heard from the Lord of armies,
The God of Israel, I make known to you.
Pronouncements about Edom and Arabia
11 The pronouncement concerning [c](D)Edom:
One keeps calling to me from (E)Seir,
“Watchman, [d]how far gone is the night?
Watchman, [e]how far gone is the night?”

9 Look, here comes a man in a chariot(A)
with a team of horses.
And he gives back the answer:

All the images of its gods(D)

10 My people who are crushed on the threshing floor,(F)
I tell you what I have heard
from the Lord Almighty,
from the God of Israel.

11 A prophecy against Dumah[a]:(G)
Someone calls to me from Seir,(H)
“Watchman, what is left of the night?
Watchman, what is left of the night?”
