Isaiah 24:6-8
New Life Version
6 So the earth is cursed and those who live in it suffer for their guilt. So the people of the earth are burned, and few men are left.
7 The new wine dries up and the vine wastes away. All the glad in heart are in sorrow. 8 The happiness of the music-makers stops. The noise of those filled with joy stops. The happiness of the harp stops.

New International Version
6 Therefore a curse(A) consumes the earth;
its people must bear their guilt.
Therefore earth’s inhabitants are burned up,(B)
and very few are left.
7 The new wine dries up(C) and the vine withers;(D)
all the merrymakers groan.(E)
8 The joyful timbrels(F) are stilled,
the noise(G) of the revelers(H) has stopped,
the joyful harp(I) is silent.(J)
