Isaiah 26:6-8
International Children’s Bible

6 Then those who were hurt by the city will walk on its ruins.
    Those who were made poor by the city will trample it under their feet.

7 The path of life of the people who are right with God is level.
    Lord, you make the way of life smooth for those people.
8 But, Lord, we are waiting
    for your way of justice.
Our souls want to remember
    you and your name.

6 Feet trample(A) it down—
    the feet of the oppressed,(B)
    the footsteps of the poor.(C)

7 The path of the righteous is level;(D)
    you, the Upright One,(E) make the way of the righteous smooth.(F)
8 Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws,[a](G)
    we wait(H) for you;
your name(I) and renown
    are the desire of our hearts.
