    Leviathan the coiling serpent;

    clothe yourself with strength!^(C)
Awake, as in days gone by,
    as in generations of old.^(D)
Was it not you who cut Rahab^(E) to pieces,
    who pierced that monster^(F) through?

“‘I am against you, Sidon,
    and among you I will display my glory.^(A)
You will know that I am the Lord,
    when I inflict punishment^(B) on you
    and within you am proved to be holy.^(C)
