Isaiah 28:5-7

International Standard Version

⁵At that time,^[a] the Lord of the Heavenly Armies will become a glorious crown,
a beautiful diadem for the remnant of his people,
⁶and a spirit of justice to the one who sits in judgment,
a source of strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.

⁷These people also^[b] stagger from wine
    and reel from strong drink.
Priests and prophets stagger from strong drink;
    they’re drunk from^[c] wine;
they reel from strong drink,
    waver when seeing visions,
        and stumble when rendering decisions.

⁶And for a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.

⁷But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.
