¹⁴ The Lord enters into judgment^(A)
    against the elders and leaders of his people:
“It is you who have ruined my vineyard;
    the plunder^(B) from the poor^(C) is in your houses.
¹⁵ What do you mean by crushing my people^(D)
    and grinding^(E) the faces of the poor?”^(F)
declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty.^(G)

⁴ but with righteousness^(A) he will judge the needy,^(B)
    with justice^(C) he will give decisions for the poor^(D) of the earth.
He will strike^(E) the earth with the rod of his mouth;^(F)
    with the breath^(G) of his lips he will slay the wicked.^(H)

³⁰ The poorest of the poor will find pasture,
    and the needy^(A) will lie down in safety.^(B)
But your root I will destroy by famine;^(C)
    it will slay^(D) your survivors.^(E)

³² What answer shall be given
    to the envoys^(A) of that nation?
“The Lord has established Zion,^(B)
    and in her his afflicted people will find refuge.^(C)”

⁶ Feet trample^(A) it down—
    the feet of the oppressed,^(B)
    the footsteps of the poor.^(C)
