Isaiah 33:14-16
New English Translation
14 Sinners are afraid in Zion;
panic[a] grips the godless.[b]
They say,[c] “Who among us can coexist with destructive fire?
Who among us can coexist with unquenchable[d] fire?”
15 The one who lives[e] uprightly[f]
and speaks honestly;
the one who refuses to profit from oppressive measures
and rejects a bribe;[g]
the one who does not plot violent crimes[h]
and does not seek to harm others[i]—
16 this is the person who will live in a secure place;[j]
he will find safety in the rocky, mountain strongholds;[k]
he will have food
and a constant supply of water.

New International Version
14 The sinners(A) in Zion are terrified;
trembling(B) grips the godless:
“Who of us can dwell with the consuming fire?(C)
Who of us can dwell with everlasting burning?”
15 Those who walk righteously(D)
and speak what is right,(E)
who reject gain from extortion(F)
and keep their hands from accepting bribes,(G)
who stop their ears against plots of murder
and shut their eyes(H) against contemplating evil—
16 they are the ones who will dwell on the heights,(I)
whose refuge(J) will be the mountain fortress.(K)
Their bread will be supplied,
and water will not fail(L) them.
