² In that day the Branch of the Lord will be splendid and glorious, and the fruit of the land will be excellent and lovely to those of Israel who have survived.^(A)

²³ and went and settled in a city called Nazareth. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophets: “He shall be called a ^[a]Nazarene.”

⁵ Then one of the [twenty-four] elders said to me, “Stop weeping! Look closely, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome and conquered! He can open the scroll and [break] its seven seals.”^(A)

The Final Invitation

¹⁶ “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you and to give you assurance of these things for the churches. I am the Root (the Source, the Life) and the Offspring of David, the radiant and bright Morning Star.”^(A)
