³¹ Then Jesus said to them, “You will all fall away because of me this night. For it is written, ‘I will ^(A)strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’

¹⁶ And ^(A)I have other sheep that are not of this fold. ^(B)I must bring them also, and ^(C)they will listen to my voice. So there will be ^(D)one flock, ^(E)one shepherd.

¹⁵ When they had ^(A)finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, ^(B)“Simon, ^(C)son of John, ^(D)do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed ^(E)my lambs.” ¹⁶ He said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, ^(F)“Tend ^(G)my sheep.” ¹⁷ He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him ^(H)the third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, ^(I)you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed ^(J)my sheep.

^28 (A)Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all ^(B)the flock, in which ^(C)the Holy Spirit has made you ^(D)overseers, ^(E)to care for ^(F)the church of God,^[a] which he ^(G)obtained ^(H)with his own blood.^{[b] 29} I ^(I)know that after my departure ^(J)fierce wolves will come in among you, ^(K)not sparing the flock;
