⁸ “But you, Israel, ^(A)My servant,
Jacob whom I have chosen,
Seed of ^(B)Abraham My ^(C)friend,
⁹ You whom I have ^[a](D)strongly taken hold of from the ends of the earth,
And called from its ^(E)remotest parts
And said to you, ‘You are ^(F)My servant,
I have ^(G)chosen you and not rejected you.

⁷ Thus says Yahweh, the ^(A)Redeemer of Israel and its Holy One,
To the ^(B)despised One,
To the One abhorred by the nation,
To the Servant of rulers,
“^(C)Kings will see and arise,
Princes will also ^(D)bow down,
Because of Yahweh who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel who has chosen You.”
