Isaiah 44:26-28
English Standard Version
26 (A)who confirms the word of his servant
and fulfills the counsel of his messengers,
who says of Jerusalem, ‘She shall be inhabited,’
(B)and of the cities of Judah, ‘They shall be built,
and I will raise up their ruins’;
27 (C)who says to the deep, ‘Be dry;
I will dry up your rivers’;
28 who says of (D)Cyrus, ‘He is (E)my shepherd,
and he shall fulfill all my purpose’;
saying of Jerusalem, ‘She shall be built,’
(F)and of the temple, ‘Your foundation shall be laid.’”

of the towns of Judah, ‘They shall be rebuilt,’
and of their ruins,(D) ‘I will restore them,’(E)
27 who says to the watery deep, ‘Be dry,
and I will dry up(F) your streams,’
28 who says of Cyrus,(G) ‘He is my shepherd
and will accomplish all that I please;
he will say of Jerusalem,(H) “Let it be rebuilt,”
and of the temple,(I) “Let its foundations(J) be laid.”’
