8 Fear not, nor be afraid;
    have I not told you from of old and declared it?
    (A)And you are my witnesses!
(B)Is there a God besides me?
    There is no (C)Rock; I know not any.”

9 (D)All who fashion idols are nothing, and the things they delight in do not profit. Their witnesses neither see nor know, that they may be put to shame. 10 (E)Who fashions a god or casts an idol that is profitable for nothing?

8 Do not tremble, do not be afraid.
    Did I not proclaim(A) this and foretell it long ago?
You are my witnesses. Is there any God(B) besides me?
    No, there is no other Rock;(C) I know not one.”

9 All who make idols(D) are nothing,
    and the things they treasure are worthless.(E)
Those who would speak up for them are blind;(F)
    they are ignorant, to their own shame.(G)
10 Who shapes a god and casts an idol,(H)
    which can profit nothing?(I)
