2 I will go before thee, and make the [a]crooked straight: I will break the brazen doors, and burst the iron bars.
3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and the things hid in secret places, that thou mayest [b]know that I am the Lord which call thee by thy name, even the God of Israel.
4 For Jacob my servant’s [c]sake, and Israel mine elect, I will even call thee by thy name, and name thee, though thou hast not known me.

2 I will go before you(A)
and will level(B) the mountains[a];
I will break down gates(C) of bronze
and cut through bars of iron.(D)
3 I will give you hidden treasures,(E)
riches stored in secret places,(F)
so that you may know(G) that I am the Lord,
the God of Israel, who summons you by name.(H)
4 For the sake of Jacob my servant,(I)
of Israel my chosen,
I summon you by name
and bestow on you a title of honor,
though you do not acknowledge(J) me.
