2 “I will go before you and (A)make the [a]rough places smooth;
I will (B)shatter the doors of bronze and cut through their iron (C)bars.
3 I will give you the [b](D)treasures of darkness
And hidden wealth of secret places,
So that you may know that it is I,
The Lord, the God of Israel, who (E)calls you by your name.
4 For the sake of (F)Jacob My servant,
And Israel My chosen one,
I have also (G)called you by your name;
I have given you a title of honor
Though you have (H)not known Me.

I will break down gates(C) of bronze
and cut through bars of iron.(D)
3 I will give you hidden treasures,(E)
riches stored in secret places,(F)
so that you may know(G) that I am the Lord,
the God of Israel, who summons you by name.(H)
4 For the sake of Jacob my servant,(I)
of Israel my chosen,
I summon you by name
and bestow on you a title of honor,
though you do not acknowledge(J) me.
