2 I will go before you and make the hard places smooth. I will break the brass doors to pieces, and cut through their iron gates. 3 I will give you riches hidden in the darkness and things of great worth that are hidden in secret places. Then you may know that it is I, the Lord, the God of Israel, who calls you by name. 4 For the good of Jacob My servant and Israel My chosen one, I called you by your name. I gave you a name of honor, when you had not known Me.

2 I will go before you(A)
and will level(B) the mountains[a];
I will break down gates(C) of bronze
and cut through bars of iron.(D)
3 I will give you hidden treasures,(E)
riches stored in secret places,(F)
so that you may know(G) that I am the Lord,
the God of Israel, who summons you by name.(H)
4 For the sake of Jacob my servant,(I)
of Israel my chosen,
I summon you by name
and bestow on you a title of honor,
though you do not acknowledge(J) me.

3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.
4 For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.
