Isaiah 48:9-11
New Life Version
9 Because of My name I hold back My anger. For My praise I keep Myself from cutting you off. 10 See, I have tested you, but not as silver. I have tested you in the fire of suffering. 11 For My own good, for My own good, I will do this. For why should I allow My name to be put to shame? I will not give My shining-greatness to another.

9 For my own name’s sake(A) I delay my wrath;(B)
for the sake of my praise I hold it back from you,
so as not to destroy you completely.(C)
10 See, I have refined(D) you, though not as silver;
I have tested(E) you in the furnace(F) of affliction.
