2 Why do you [a]spend money for what is (A)not bread,
And your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and (B)eat what is good,
And (C)delight yourself in abundance.
3 (D)Incline your ear and come to Me.
Listen, that [b]you may (E)live;
And I will make (F)an everlasting covenant with you,
According to the (G)faithful mercies [c]shown to David.
4 Behold, I have made (H)him a witness to the peoples,
A (I)leader and commander for the peoples.
