Isaiah 56:12

¹²“Come,” each one cries, “let me get wine!^(A)
Let us drink our fill of beer!
And tomorrow will be like today,
or even far better.”^(B)

¹²Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.

²²“Son of man, what is this proverb^(A) you have in the land of Israel: ‘The days go by and every vision comes to nothing’?^(B)

²²Son of man, what is that proverb that ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision faileth?

¹⁰All the sinners among my people
will die by the sword,^(A)
all those who say,
‘Disaster will not overtake or meet us.’^(B)

¹⁰All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us.
