‘Keep on hearing, but do not understand;
Keep on seeing, but do not perceive.’

¹⁰ To whom shall I speak and give warning,
That they may hear?
Indeed their ^(A)ear is uncircumcised,
And they cannot give heed.
Behold, ^(B)the word of the Lord is a reproach to them;
They have no delight in it.

^(A)‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand,
And seeing you will see and not ^(B)perceive;

⁴⁰ “He^(A) has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts,
^(B)Lest they should see with their eyes,
Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn,
So that I should heal them.”
