6 I (A)trod down the peoples in My anger
And made them (B)drunk in My wrath,
And I brought down their lifeblood to the earth.”
Remember the Lovingkindness of Yahweh
7 I shall bring to remembrance the (C)lovingkindnesses of Yahweh, the praises of Yahweh,
According to all the ways that Yahweh has dealt bountifully with us,
And the abundant (D)goodness toward the house of Israel,
Which He has dealt bountifully to them according to His (E)compassion
And according to the abundance of His lovingkindnesses.
8 And He said, “Surely, they are (F)My people,
Sons who will not deal falsely.”
So He became their (G)Savior.

6 I trampled(A) the nations in my anger;
in my wrath I made them drunk(B)
and poured their blood(C) on the ground.”
Praise and Prayer
7 I will tell of the kindnesses(D) of the Lord,
the deeds for which he is to be praised,
according to all the Lord has done for us—
yes, the many good things(E)
he has done for Israel,
according to his compassion(F) and many kindnesses.
8 He said, “Surely they are my people,(G)
children who will be true to me”;
and so he became their Savior.(H)
