²⁵ The wolf and the lamb will feed together,^[a]
and the lion will eat straw like cattle,^(A)
but the serpent’s food will be dust!^(B)
They will not do what is evil or destroy
on my entire holy mountain,”^(C)
says the Lord.

¹⁷ They will lick the dust like a snake;^(A)
they will come trembling out of their hiding places^(B)
like reptiles slithering on the ground.^(C)
They will tremble in the presence of the Lord our God;^(D)
they will stand in awe of you.
