Isaiah 65:4-6
New English Translation

4 They sit among the tombs[a]
and keep watch all night long.[b]
They eat pork,[c]
and broth[d] from unclean sacrificial meat is in their pans.
5 They say, ‘Keep to yourself!
Don’t get near me, for I am holier than you!’
These people are like smoke in my nostrils,
like a fire that keeps burning all day long.
6 Look, I have decreed:[e]
I will not keep silent, but will pay them back;
I will pay them back exactly what they deserve,[f]

New International Version

4 who sit among the graves(A)
    and spend their nights keeping secret vigil;
who eat the flesh of pigs,(B)
    and whose pots hold broth of impure meat;
5 who say, ‘Keep away; don’t come near me,
    for I am too sacred(C) for you!’
Such people are smoke(D) in my nostrils,
    a fire that keeps burning all day.

6 “See, it stands written before me:
    I will not keep silent(E) but will pay back(F) in full;
    I will pay it back into their laps(G)—
