7 This is what the Lord Yahweh says: “It shall not stand, neither shall it happen.” 8 For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin. Within sixty-five years Ephraim shall be broken in pieces, so that it shall not be a people. 9 The head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah’s son. If you will not believe, surely you shall not be established.’”

7 Yet this is what the Sovereign Lord says:(A)
“‘It will not take place,
it will not happen,(B)
8 for the head of Aram is Damascus,(C)
and the head of Damascus is only Rezin.(D)
Within sixty-five years
Ephraim will be too shattered(E) to be a people.
9 The head of Ephraim is Samaria,(F)
and the head of Samaria is only Remaliah’s son.
If you do not stand(G) firm in your faith,(H)
you will not stand at all.’”(I)
