²⁰ To the ^[a](A)Law and to the testimony! If they do not speak in accordance with this word, it is because ^(B)they have no dawn. ²¹ They will pass through ^[b]the land ^(C)dejected and hungry, and it will turn out that when they are hungry, they will become enraged and curse ^[c]their king and their God as they face upward. ²² Then they will ^(D)look to the earth, and behold, distress and darkness, the gloom of anguish; and they will be ^(E)driven away into darkness.

¹¹ The entire vision will be to you like the words of a sealed ^[a](C)book, which, when they give it to the one who ^[b]is literate, saying, “Please read this,” he will say, “I cannot, because it is sealed.” ¹² Then the ^[c]book will be given to the one who ^[d]is illiterate, saying, “Please read this.” And he will say, “I ^[e]cannot read.”
