3 And I approached the prophetess, and she conceived, and she gave birth to a son. And Yahweh said to me, “Call his name Maher-Halal-Hash-Baz. 4 For before the boy knows to call ‘my father’ and ‘my mother,’ one will carry away the wealth of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria in the presence of the king of Assyria.”

3 Then I made love to the prophetess,(A) and she conceived and gave birth to a son.(B) And the Lord said to me, “Name him Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz.(C) 4 For before the boy knows(D) how to say ‘My father’ or ‘My mother,’ the wealth of Damascus(E) and the plunder of Samaria will be carried off by the king of Assyria.(F)”
