the Lord will therefore raise against it
    the mighty flood waters of the river
    (the king of Assyria and all his glory).
The river will rise above all its channels
    and overflow all its banks;
it will sweep on into Judah like a flood
    reaching up to the neck,

    will cover the breadth of your land, Immanuel.
Realize this, you peoples, and be afraid.
