3 (A)You shall multiply the nation,
You (B)shall [a]make great [b]their gladness;
They will be glad in Your presence
As with the gladness [c]of harvest,
As [d](C)men rejoice when they divide the spoil.
4 For (D)You shall shatter the yoke of their burden and the staff on their shoulders,
The rod of their (E)taskmaster, as [e]at the battle of (F)Midian.
5 For every boot of the booted warrior in the rumbling of battle,
And cloak rolled in blood, will be for burning, fuel for the fire.

as people rejoice at the harvest,
as warriors rejoice
when dividing the plunder.(C)
4 For as in the day of Midian’s defeat,(D)
you have shattered(E)
the yoke(F) that burdens them,
the bar across their shoulders,(G)
the rod of their oppressor.(H)
5 Every warrior’s boot used in battle
and every garment rolled in blood
will be destined for burning,(I)
will be fuel for the fire.
