¹⁵ And the Lord will utterly destroy^{[a]
    (A)}the tongue of the Sea of Egypt,
and will wave his hand over ^(B)the River
    with his scorching breath,^[b]
and strike it into seven channels,
    and he will lead people across in sandals.

^27 (A)who says to the deep, ‘Be dry;
    I will dry up your rivers’;

^38 (A)A drought against her waters,
    that they may be dried up!
^(B)For it is a land of images,
    and they are mad over idols.

³² the fords have been ^(A)seized,
    the marshes are burned with fire,
    and the soldiers are in panic.

³⁶ Therefore thus says the Lord:
“Behold, ^(A)I will plead your cause
    and take vengeance for you.
^(B)I will dry up her sea
    and ^(C)make her fountain dry,
