¹⁹ Behold, I am going to do something ^(A)new,
Now it will spring up;
Will you not be aware of it?
I will even ^(B)make a roadway in the wilderness,
Rivers in the desert.
²⁰ The animals of the field will glorify Me,
The ^(C)jackals and the ostriches,
Because I have ^(D)given waters in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert,
To give drink to My chosen people.

¹⁸ If only you had ^(A)paid attention to My commandments!
Then your ^[a](B)well-being would have been like a river,
And your ^(C)righteousness like the waves of the sea.

¹² For this is what the Lord says: “Behold, I extend ^(A)peace to her like a river,
And the ^(B)glory of the nations like an overflowing stream;
And you will ^[a]be nursed, you will be ^(C)carried on the ^[b]hip and rocked back and forth on the knees.
