Why was there no one to answer when I called?
Is My hand too short to redeem?(A)
Or do I have no power to deliver?
Look, I dry up the sea by My rebuke;(B)
I turn the rivers into a wilderness;
their fish rot because of lack of water
and die of thirst.

and He makes all the rivers run dry.(A)
Bashan and Carmel wither;(B)
even the flower of Lebanon withers.
The mountains quake before Him,
and the hills melt;
the earth trembles[a][b] at His presence—
the world and all who live in it.(C)
Who can withstand His indignation?
Who can endure His burning anger?(D)
His wrath is poured out like fire,
even rocks are shattered before Him.
