²⁷ I am the One who says to the depth of the sea, ‘Dry up!’
And I will make your rivers ^(A)dry up.

² Why was there ^(A)no one when I came?
When I called, why was there no one to answer?
Is My ^(B)hand so short that it cannot redeem?
Or do I have no power to rescue?
Behold, I ^(C)dry up the sea with My rebuke,
I ^(D)turn rivers into a wilderness;
Their fish stink for lack of water,
And die of thirst.

⁴ He ^(A)rebukes the sea and dries it up;
He dries up all the rivers.
^(B)Bashan and Carmel wither,
The blossoms of Lebanon wither.
⁵ Mountains ^(C)quake because of Him,
And the hills ^(D)come apart;
Indeed the earth is ^(E)upheaved by His presence,
The ^(F)world and all the inhabitants in it.
^6 (G)Who can stand before His indignation?
Who can endure the ^(H)burning of His anger?
His ^(I)wrath gushes forth like fire,
And the ^(J)rocks are broken up by Him.
