⁷ At one moment I might speak concerning a nation or concerning a kingdom to ^(A)uproot it, to tear it down, or to destroy it; ^8 (B)if that nation against which I have spoken turns from its evil, I will ^(C)relent of the disaster that I planned to bring on it.

²⁷ But when a wicked person turns away ^(A)from his wickedness which he has committed and practices justice and righteousness, he will save his life.

⁸ When I say to the wicked, ‘You wicked person, you will ^(A)certainly die,’ and you do not speak to warn the wicked about his way, that wicked person shall die for his wrongdoing, but I will ^[a]require his blood from your hand.

¹⁹ But when the wicked turns from his wickedness and practices justice and righteousness, he will live by them.
