¹⁵ Those ·rulers [^Lofficers] were very angry with Jeremiah and ·beat [^Lstruck] him. Then they put him in ·jail [^Lhouse of confinement] in the house of Jonathan the ·royal secretary [scribe], which had been made into a prison [^Lhouse of confinement].
