16 I will utter My judgments
Against them concerning all their wickedness,
Because (A)they have forsaken Me,
Burned (B)incense to other gods,
And worshiped the works of their own (C)hands.
17 “Therefore (D)prepare yourself and arise,
And speak to them all that I command you.
(E)Do not be dismayed before their faces,
Lest I dismay you before them.
18 For behold, I have made you this day
(F)A fortified city and an iron pillar,
And bronze walls against the whole land—
Against the kings of Judah,
Against its princes,
Against its priests,
And against the people of the land.

16 I will pronounce my judgments(A) on my people
because of their wickedness(B) in forsaking me,(C)
in burning incense to other gods(D)
and in worshiping(E) what their hands have made.(F)
17 “Get yourself ready! Stand up and say(G) to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified(H) by them, or I will terrify you before them. 18 Today I have made you(I) a fortified city, an iron pillar and a bronze wall to stand against the whole land—against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests and the people of the land.
