20 But, Lord of Armies, who judges righteously,
who tests(A) heart[a] and mind,(B)
let me see your vengeance on them,
for I have presented my case to you.(C)
21 Therefore, here is what the Lord says concerning the people of Anathoth(D) who intend to take your life. They warn, “Do not prophesy in the name of the Lord,(E) or you will certainly die at our hand.” 22 Therefore, this is what the Lord of Armies says: “I am about to punish them. The young men will die by the sword; their sons and daughters will die by famine.(F)

and test the heart(B) and mind,(C)
let me see your vengeance(D) on them,
for to you I have committed my cause.
21 Therefore this is what the Lord says about the people of Anathoth(E) who are threatening to kill you,(F) saying, “Do not prophesy(G) in the name of the Lord or you will die(H) by our hands”— 22 therefore this is what the Lord Almighty says: “I will punish them. Their young men(I) will die by the sword, their sons and daughters by famine.
