Jeremiah 14:6-8
New American Standard Bible
6 The (A)wild donkeys stand on the bare heights;
They pant for air like jackals,
Their eyes fail
Because there is (B)no vegetation.
7 Though our (C)wrongdoings testify against us,
Lord, act (D)for the sake of Your name!
Our (E)apostasies have indeed been many,
We have (F)sinned against You.
8 (G)Hope of Israel,
Its (H)Savior in (I)time of distress,
Why are You like a stranger in the land,
Or like a traveler who has pitched his tent for the night?
Jeremiah 14:6-8
New International Version
6 Wild donkeys stand on the barren heights(A)
and pant like jackals;
their eyes fail
for lack of food.”(B)
7 Although our sins testify(C) against us,
do something, Lord, for the sake of your name.(D)
For we have often rebelled;(E)
we have sinned(F) against you.
8 You who are the hope(G) of Israel,
its Savior(H) in times of distress,(I)
why are you like a stranger in the land,
like a traveler who stays only a night?
