Jeremiah 16:17-19

New International Version

¹⁷My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden^(A) from me, nor is their sin concealed from my eyes.^(B) ¹⁸I will repay^(C) them double^(D) for their wickedness and their sin, because they have defiled my land^(E) with the lifeless forms of their vile images^(F) and have filled my inheritance with their detestable idols.^(G)”^(H)

¹⁹Lord, my strength and my fortress,
    my refuge^(I) in time of distress,
to you the nations will come^(J)
    from the ends of the earth and say,
“Our ancestors possessed nothing but false gods,^(K)
    worthless idols^(L) that did them no good.^(M)
