3 my mountains in the countryside.
I will give up your wealth
and all your treasures as plunder(A)
because of the sin of your high places[a]
in all your borders.(B)
4 You will, on your own, relinquish your inheritance
that I gave you.
I will make you serve your enemies
in a land you do not know,(C)
for you have set my anger on fire;(D)
it will burn forever.
Curse and Blessing
5 This is what the Lord says:
Cursed is the person who trusts in mankind.(E)
He makes human flesh his strength,(F)
and his heart turns from the Lord.

4 Through your own fault you will lose
the inheritance(D) I gave you.
I will enslave you to your enemies(E)
in a land(F) you do not know,
for you have kindled my anger,
and it will burn(G) forever.”
