Good News Translation
3 and on the mountains in the open country. I will have your enemies take away your wealth and your treasures because of all the sins you have committed[a] throughout your land. 4 You will have to give up[b] the land I gave you, and I will make you serve your enemies in a land you know nothing about, because my anger is like a fire, and it will burn forever.”

and put their trust in human beings,
in the strength of mortals.

3 My mountain in the land
and your[a] wealth and all your treasures
I will give away as plunder,(A)
together with your high places,(B)
because of sin throughout your country.(C)
4 Through your own fault you will lose
the inheritance(D) I gave you.
I will enslave you to your enemies(E)
in a land(F) you do not know,
for you have kindled my anger,
and it will burn(G) forever.”
